Booking and Payment
A tentative day and time may be reserved for seven (7) days without obligation. If at any time another client wants the same day and time, the first client will be given 24 hours to confirm the day and time by making the required deposit.
A non-refundable fifty (50) percent deposit is required to confirm the day and time and must accompany a signed contract. The balance of the rental fee is due 2 weeks prior to the event.
A refundable damage deposit of $200.00 is required thirty (30) days prior to the event. The damage deposit will be returned to you if there are no damages, missing items, extended cleaning times, or unusual cleaning charges following the inspection of the McCreery Home after the event.
In the event of cancellation, the $200.00 damage deposit will be returned to you within 30 days. However, the rental fee will only be returned if the day and time can be re-booked.
Rental Fee for events booked less than thirty (30) days prior to the event date will be collected in total along with the damage deposit.
Clients may choose the time of day for their event if available. Monday through Friday at any time. Saturday morning events need to be scheduled to end before 3: 00pm. Saturday evening events scheduled to start on or after 4:00pm. Sunday events need to be scheduled after 2:00pm.Clients may use the McCreery House until 9:00pm.
Alcoholic beverages may be served. We allow you to bring in your own beer, wine and champagne. If an open bar is requested, arrangements must be made with the caterer for a licensed bartender to monitor and serve. Clients must remember that minors under 21 years of age are not to be served alcoholic beverages.We reserve the right to monitor alcohol use at any time during an event and/or terminate service to any individual or group.
Candles are permitted only with a solid plate beneath to avoid possible fire and wax damage to furniture and linens.
McCreery House does not have an on-site caterer. You can cater in with a caterer of your choice or we would be happy to suggest a great local caterer. We also allow you to bring in your own prepared food and we will help you serve. All food brought to premises must be fully prepared and ready to serve per health department regulations.
Children are welcome during events! Because of safety concerns we require that children be supervised by an adult at all times.
Decorations without nails, screws, or any other objects causing damage to the premises are allowed.
Smoking is not permitted inside the McCreery House at any time; however, a designated smoking area is located outside.
There is designated parking for vehicles in the church parking lot on the corner of 7th and Washington. The McCreery House private driveway is reserved for handicap parking only.
Sound level must be kept at a reasonable level so as not to disturb neighborhood residents. Amplification may not exceed a decibel level of 55. Please inform your musicians and/or DJ of this level and all outside music must be turned off at 9pm.
Tent rental for the garden is available should inclement weather be expected.
Throwing bird seed and flower petals are permitted outside only. Throwing rice is not permitted. In accordance with state law, no fireworks are permitted.
